Today I visited Music World to make use of a gift voucher I had got from Standard Chartered bank. I bought video CDs of two Malayalam comedy films, Poochchakkoru Mookkuthi and Boeing Boeing (both of these I have seen several times before; but thought of having personal copies), and few devotional audio CDs, including Soundarya Lahari recited by Bombay Sisters, and Narayaneeyam by P Leela.
Hearing the shlokas from Narayaneeyam made me remember my schooldays, when I used to go for the Samskritham festivals, where students used to recite these shlokas in competitions like Aksharashlokam.
In the evening, I watched the first half of the Hindi film Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, about a retired professor (Anupam Kher) suffering from Alzheimer's (?) disease. It looked an impressive movie, but unfortunately I couldn’t watch the film fully, as the second disk was corrupted.
One more calendar year is getting over today.
