Chitratheruvukal

I read Chitratheruvukal, a collection of memoirs by MT Vasudevan Nair, published by Current Books, Thrissur. In these articles, MT remembers his interactions with people in the field of Cinema, like Prem Nazir, Sathyan, P Bhaskaran, Shobhana Parameswaran Nair, MB Sreenivasan, Balan K Nair, Shankaradi, Monisha and many others. He also writes in detail about the making of three of his films, Nirmalyam, Devalokam (which was not completed), and Kadavu. Not only just well-known celebrities find a place in these memoirs, but those relatively unknown people who had spent a life time in the peripheries of cinema, as helpers and well-wishers, also are remembered in these touching articles.

The book has a few Illustrations by Namboodiri. It would have been nice to see photographs of the old times as well included in this book.
