Today is Deepawali. At home there would be lot of celebrations. I watched "Chandralekha" in TV in the morning, later I went to MG Road for some shopping. Had a Masala Dosa from Indian Coffee House, went to Premier Book Shop, but it was closing time. I browsed through the books kept in the footpath near GKWale. It gave a kind of feeling of nostalgia to see the old Soviet Union - made books from Raduga publishers and Mir publishers. I used to buy these books (Malayalam editions were also available) when I was in school, as there were regular exhibitions of Russian books in Irinjalakuda during the Kootalmanikyam temple festival. They were neatly bound in quality paper and price was so low that we won't believe.
I bought an HMT watch from a shop in commercial street. The time indicators are etched in Arabic numerals. I always like this kind of watch.
Planning to see "Ayyappantamma Neyyappam Chuttu", a children's movie in television.
