I had a chat with a taxi driver today. He has completed a course in Windows and started going for another in Solaris. When I told that I am from India, he asked: "I have heard of it, but don't know where it is located. Is it near Pakistan, Malaysia and all?".

Then I thought of the millions of Indian children who study history and geography of US in schools. I thought of the thousands of Indian software engineers who dream of going to the US and feel that the sole aim of their incarnation is to go and settle in the US. I thought of many of those, who after going to the US once, start talking like "I will visit India some time next year, and then come back to the US". I thought of few of them who start complaining of the messy traffic in India , the dust, the smoke and noise and start asking "Is there any gas station nearby?".

I also thought of the millions of others, like me, who talk a lot proudly of India, but actually do nothing for India.
