Had a dry weekend. I just went to office on Saturday morning to check e-mails, but there were couple of work related mails and had to stay in office till evening. Later I visited some CD stores and bought few movie CDs. Salaam Bombay, Teesri Kasam, Noorie and Angoor. I searched for an old Tamil movie "En Shwasa Katte" because I recently discovered that Isha Koppikar has acted in it. I have become a fan of hers after watching her "fantastic acting performance" in the dance sequence of Company.
The first two movies are among my favorites. I think Noorie was the first Hindi movie that I saw. My father had taken me for the noon show at Prabhath theatre when I was in third standard or so, and for few weeks after that I used to always sing the "Aa jaa re" song from it. I didn't understand much of the movie as I didn't know Hindi that time. Angoor is a comedy movie, which was one of the first movies we saw when we bought television at our home. Watching the weekly movies in TV was a big occasion that time. My mother would cook the dinner early and after taking food all of us will assemble in front of the TV eagerly waiting for the movie. I don't think that kind of enjoyment will ever be there now, as we can see movies any time we want in one of the numerous channels... and also, time has changed.
I watched couple of Malayalam movies in television in the weekend. Udyanapalakan, Irupatham Noottandu etc. Didn't had mood to do anything else.
