It has been more than five years since I unsubscribed from satellite television channels at home, and I now use the television only for watching movies. However, I still get to watch snippets or episodes of some programs (mostly from Malayalam channels) on Youtube, based on recommendations from friends.

Recently, I watched an episode of the Marimayam program coming on Mazhavil Manorama channel, and it triggered me to watch several of its earlier episodes published on its Youtube channel (it has completed more than 200 episodes now). The program mostly focuses on social issues, corruption at Government offices, etc., presenting them in a very humorous and satirical way. There is not a single dull moment in any of the episodes I watched - the sarcastic observations made in the stories are right on spot, and the performances are brilliant.

I have been hooked for a week now. Watching all the episodes after work. Have seen all those after 80...

Amazing actors. Very depressing sometimes. But the open bribery is amazing. How is this even possible... I work in similar setting. Mind boggling.

I read quite a bit about Kerala being less corrupted than other states. I am scared to think of what goes on everywhere else.:-)

M80 moosa is a similar good program coming in media one channel. But there is heavy kozhikode slang which may be a deterrent to those who are unfamiliar

Excellent stuff. Very Good rendering of the theme. I have watched about 30 episodes ( for me this is first time !!) in the last week and have improved my malayalam considerably !! Thx.
